Riot Games has officially announced that the mobile version of its popular tactical first-person shooter, Valorant, will debut in China. This strategic move marks a significant step in expanding the game's reach to mobile platforms.​

The development of Valorant Mobile is being led by LightSpeed, a Chinese studio renowned for creating mobile versions of major shooters like PUBG and Apex Legends. In June 2024, the game received approval from China's National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA), allowing it to be released in the country under the title Valorant: Operation Primal

Beta Testing and Pre-Registration

Pre-registration for the game's beta testing is currently open to Chinese players. Participants who sign up will have the opportunity to earn exclusive in-game rewards, such as player cards, by completing specific missions during the testing phase 

Global Release Plans

While the initial launch is focused on China, Riot Games plans to expand the game's availability to other regions based on its performance in the Chinese market.
